Compass Learning
The Josiah Compass is a prominent symbol displayed in every classroom at Josiah College. The Compass is the foundation for all staff and students linking it to every area of our learning and teaching programs.
The eight essential character traits of the Josiah Compass – Faith, Hope, Wisdom, Compassion, Justice, Self-Control, Integrity and Courage – are the focus of every classroom’s morning compass devotions.
Our Compass Devotions are designed for our students to become actively involved in their learning around the bible and the character traits of our Compass. Our staff use biblical, relevant and practical stories to teach our students about how these character traits can be embedded in their daily lives. Josiah College students begin and end each day with prayer and attend a weekly chapel service.
